Strine app for iPhone and iPad

Strine is a unique dictionary of approximately one thousand Australian slang words.

The dictionary analyses words into two groups - modern terms and historical terms. The second category gives examples of early use in context together with references to literary sources when available. The app explains the origin of many slang terms and shows the evolution into the modern Ozzie vocabulary.

You would have to go to the Back of Bourke for a bonzer read. Not recommended for the lamb-brained. An indispensable English-Strine dictionary for travelers in the Lucky Country; no internet connection necessary.
